Welcome to the Youth Baseball Training Network. Is this a network just yet? No, so please bare with me as I get this up and running, but I feel like this is a great way for me to give back to the youth baseball coaching community. I’ve coached college baseball for 17 years now, and while I’ve always appreciated youth baseball, I never really immersed myself in it – aside from the occasional camp. That all completely changed when my son turned 5 years old.
Fall ball, spring ball, camps, clinics, tryouts, you name it, I’m knee deep into it now. And the way I work with college guys is only tangentially related to how I’m working with the youngins. As someone who coaches baseball for a living, I feel responsible to always be available for youth coaches to help in any way I can. But I really feel like there’s more I can do. I’d like to provide drills, practice plans, ideas, motivation, inspiration, really anything that will help coaches work with their players.
I welcome any and all feedback, and hope to one day grow this into a place where coaches can share information and ideas freely. Thanks for stopping by!
